Prayer Laborers,

This month please pray for progress toward 2025 goals. Thank you for interceding on behalf of Courage Youth staff, platforms and, most importantly, Courage Youth learners.

Class & Club: Tumi Tshabalala

  • Goal:  Achieve learner participation of 1,629 in 2025.

  • Progress:  We have reached 1,130 learners across our seven Courage Youth clubs, with 1,000 learners consistently attending.

  • Request:  Lord, we have gathered Your children; may they dedicate their lives fully to You and to You alone, for Your glory.  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Career: Mpumi Mthembu

  • Goal:  To have all CY grade 12 learners complete their Career Liftoff Interest Inventory (CLii) before they write prelims (mid year exams).

  • Progress:  Grade 12 learners at all sites except one have completed their Cliis.

  • Requests

    • God help us dedicate time to finish all our CY learners this year.

    • Help learners internalize and take full advantage of insights about themselves emerging from the inventory.

Compassion: Chris Mokhachane

  • Goal:  Have full parent involvement and support in all CY programs.

  • Progress:

    • Parent volunteers have started with helping with club attendance and camp preparation.

    • We conducted a very well-received pilot test of a parent camp that included the history of CYSA, how the program works, challenges, future direction, exposure to our Life at the Crossroads and Evergreen Parenting curricula, and options to get involved.

  • Request : Pray for an increasing number of parents from each school to find their place in Courage Youth.

Organization: Chris Mokhachane

  • Goal:  Successful expansion to additional sites at a more rapid rate.

  • Progress:  Two sites have been approved for the Courage Youth program to start.

  • Request:  Funding for the second site, an elementary school. Funding for the first site - a community school for youth that have aged out of the normal school system - is included in the 2025 budget.  (Editor’s note: annual cost of a new site is $15,000.)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.

Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed,

for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9
