This month please pray for progress toward our 2024 goals. Thank you for interceding on behalf of Courage Youth programs, staff, and, most importantly, Courage Youth learners. Let us know if you have questions.

CLASS & CLUB - Tumi
● Goal: Establish Courage Youth Club at Bona Secondary School and one Community based centre.
● Progress: On March 14, 2024, Bona Secondary School opened their doors, hearts, and classes for us to plant the Courage Youth Ministry at the school.
● Request: For God to revive His work on earth through the Courage Youth Club. May He pour afresh His Spirit of knowledge, wisdom and understanding that makes for growth. (Isaiah 11: 2-4)
DISCIPLESHIP - Chris
● Goal: Courage Youth learners to run the Discovery Group Discipleship (DGD) meetings.
● Progress: Involvement and participation of learners increased during DGD sessions.
● Request: Pray for spiritual growth of CY learners brought about by their involvement in DGD.
CAREERS - Tumi
● Goal: Roll out Job Readiness Training (JRT) and Life After Matric (LAM) to grade 11 and matriculant (grade 12) learners.
● Progress: Successfully held JRT and LAM session with 33 matriculants in attendance.
● Request: In the name of Jesus may their eyes be open to see and ears to hear opportunities for personal growth and improvement.
COMPASSION - Chris
● Goal: Relaunch schoolwide awareness campaigns following Covid hiatus.
● Progress: Organized teenage pregnancy campaign for term 2 (3 April to 14 June).
● Request: For more learners to be reached during the teenage pregnancy campaign.
ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT - Chris
● Goal: Build a cohesive team amongst staff members.
● Progress: Staff cohesiveness is increasing.
● Request: Pray for more effective measures in building team spirit amongst staff members.
ADMINISTRATION - Mpumi
● Goal: Administer a large number of Career Liftoff Interest Inventory assessments of Grade 9 learners. Progress: Consistently doing the assessments.
● Request: Efficient coordination of schedules with the Life Coaches when the new term starts.
FINANCE - Paul
● Goal: Achieve budget revenue targets.
● Progress: US giving on track through February.
● Request: God’s favor as Managing Director Chris and Development Committee Chair Khanyi make contacts and presentations to prospective donors in South Africa.
